Privacy Policy
In compliance with GDPR, please read and take note of the following information regarding Ja Ja Ja’s Privacy Policy.
Who we are…
Ja Ja Ja is a live and digital project designed to promote new Nordic music through showcase nights, and an online magazine. We share news and music from artists with our audience through our online channels: our website, social media, and newsletters.
It’s very important to us that our audience understands that their privacy is protected while using or attending Ja Ja Ja, so the following Privacy Policy spells out exactly which kinds of data we collect, and how that data is used.
Types of data we collect…
Cookies
What are Cookies?
As most websites do, the Ja Ja Ja site uses cookies to collect information about our website users. Cookies are small data files which are placed on your computer or other devices (such as smart phones or tablets) as you browse this website. They are used to ‘remember’ when your computer or device accesses our websites. We use cookies in order for our site to run smoothly and effectively for our users.
Some cookies collect information about browsing behaviour when you access this website via a computer or device. This includes information about pages viewed and your journey around the Ja Ja Ja website. We don’t use cookies to collect or store your name, address or other private details.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to track which pieces of content our audience are engaging with, where those users are based, their journeys around the website, and the amount of time that they spend interacting with Ja Ja Ja’s content. The information that we access through Google Analytics is anonymised – ie. no names or personal details are attached to the data that we review.
We use Google Analytics to monitor traffic to the website, and to understand which content types our audience feel to be most relevant and engaging.
Ja Ja Ja Membership & Mailing List
Our free Ja Ja Ja membership scheme grants priority access to news and event information to users signed up to our mailing list. By signing up as a Ja Ja Ja member, users grant Ja Ja Ja permission to contact them by email in order to share relevant information. When signing up, we ask that users provide their name, email address and the country that they’d like to receive updates about (eg. London and / or Berlin).
This information is stored in MailChimp, the mailing client that we use for our outreach. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our e-newsletter. For more information, please see MailChimp’s privacy notice. You can unsubscribe from general mailings at any time of the day or night by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of our emails or by emailing us at hello@jajajamusic.com. User details are not, and will never be shared with third parties, and will solely be used by staff from Ja Ja Ja for the use of contacting members about Ja Ja Ja, or relevant Nordic events, artists, offers and news.
Ja Ja Ja Tickets
When you purchase a ticket (or tickets) for any Ja Ja Ja event, your name and email address will be stored with our ticketing outlets, Billetto (UK and Germany) and Universe (Germany). Purchasing a ticket (or tickets) in person means that you won’t be obliged to supply the aforementioned personal data. Please be assured that we do not share your personal details with any other company without your consent.
Third Parties
The data collected by Ja Ja Ja is used solely by Ja Ja Ja representatives, and its owner organisation, NOMEX (consisting of Music Finland, Export Music Sweden, Music Norway, Music Export Denmark and Iceland Music).
Information will never be shared with third parties without specific consent from our users, and will never be sold to a third party.
