SPOT Festival is almost upon us: an Aarhus based celebration of brilliant up and coming artists from Denmark, the Nordics and beyond!
Taking place between the 4th – 7th May at a variety of venues scattered around Aarhus’s city centre, the annual event is getting ready to launch – what is arguably – its best ever line-up, packed full of genre spanning emerging talent, and some extremely special performances alongside!
With such a broad range of music on offer, we’ve decided to pick 20 artists to highlight in our ‘SPOT Festival: Nordic Playlist’s Picks‘ playlist to help festival-goers navigate the timetable, so tune in right now on Spotify! From future Danish superstars such as IDA KUDO and Goss, through to Nordic names that are gripping the region, including ALMA, Sigrid and sir Was, we’ve highlights 20 of the artists that we’re most keen to catch at this year’s festival – and that we highly recommend that you music lovers at home check out too!
As well as shows from brand new artists, there are some other special performances lined up too – including the collaborative opus of work from Teitur and Nico Muhly! Confessions is a body of work created by the two friends and collaborators, and was released as a full album back in 2016. The album is now going to be brought to life by four musicians from Aarhus Symphony Orchestra in a performance that’s not to be missed – so find out more about that show in particular right here.
Tickets for SPOT Festival are on sale now, so grab yours while you can – and we’ll see you there!
