Back in April, Norwegian pop wonder and Ja Ja Ja favourite Aurora released the outstanding single ‘Queendom’, while also announcing that her eagerly-anticipated second album would be released sometime this autumn, giving fans around the world plenty to get excited about. After hinting at the release of another teaser track on social media, she has now lifted the veil on a mesmerising, stunner of a song called ‘Forgotten Love’.
While most songs usually approach lost love with heavy-hearted sadness, in ‘Forgotten Love’ Aurora reflects on her faded emotions, finding beauty in the impermanence of life, realising that it helps her move on. Introduced by a bright piano melody, subtle kick drum and gorgeous harp strums, the track grows from its gentle beginnings, quickly building momentum until it blossoms into a soaring chorus that bursts with life-affirming power as she sings: “If I am left with a rose in my hand, let it die – it’s the beauty in forgotten love”. In short, ‘Forgotten Love’ is a dynamic and inspiring piece that sees Aurora at the peak of her powers, making it even harder to wait to hear what she has in store for us!
Aurora is set to embark on a headline tour in October, bringing her dependably magical live show to 9 European cities, including London and Berlin! If she’s playing anywhere near you, we strongly encourage you to go see her – and don’t forget to check ‘Forgotten Love’ out below!
