Stockholm’s Linn Koch-Emmery shares ‘Forever Sounds’, a hooky new track from her forthcoming EP, due out in the Autumn. Peering through the murky unknown to an unattainable future, “Forever sounds too far away, always on my mind” Linn sings with restless impatience.

One of DIY magazine’s hot picks last year thanks to her head-spinning debut ‘Come Back’, Linn has already been dubbed the Swedish Courtney Barnett or Waxahatchee in some quarters. She’s been known to play ideas around with her twin sister, Lea, who now lives in LA and is a member of alt-rockers Kid Wave (Lea designed the cover for ‘Forever Sounds’). However, as heard here, while her songs favour simple, infectious melodies, she leans much more towards 90s underground and shoegaze for inspiration.

With summer just around the corner, ‘Forever Sounds’ is perfect for a beach playlist, with its focus on the here, now and enjoying the moment. Hit play and drift away…
