Though the music of Norway’s Sandra Kolstad has never strayed too far from the Ja Ja Ja stereo, it feels like she’s been adventuring elsewhere for far too long, and we are delighted to have our enchanting friend back for a visit! She first took to a Ja Ja Ja stage back in 2012, and last released an album in 2015 with Zero Gravity State Of Mind, but now she’s coming with us to Berlin for this month’s Club Night, AND has a brand new single ready to get us even more excited for the show!
Teaming up with the excellent Miss Tati, ‘Mango Corner’ finds Kolstad whirling around at the same breakneck pace she was keeping with her last record – fresh, effervescent, breathlessly perfect electro-pop. Speaking to us along with her super-cool photo diary, she said “‘Mango Corner’ is a song about utopias. What utopia could look like. I think of ‘Mango Corner’ as sort of a place the listener can enter, and have a look around, and see what she or he finds there.” the diary also features some pretty gratuitous shots of mangoes, so you should definitely check it out!
