Laleh returns, Zara Larsson continues her unstoppable success and Miike Snow take over Iceland – let’s have a closer look at this week’s climbers and tumblers in the Trenda: Nordic Charts!

A few weeks ago, Sweden’s Zara Larsson – a Trenda recommended Nordic Newcomer to watch – revealed one of her biggest collaborations to date when she released ‘Girls Like’, a track made together with Tinie Tempah. Zara Larsson has been one of the most popular artists ever on the Trenda: Nordic Charts with her previous singles ‘Lush Life’ and ‘Never Forget You’ (ft. MNEK) ruling the top spots for weeks. Now Denmark and Finland are picking up on ‘Girls Like’, with the song entering in 10th and 9th positions respectively. Are we looking at the start of the next period of Zara’s chart domination?

Laleh is back in the charts! The Swedish pop star achieved huge success with her albums Sjung and Colors a couple of years ago and on the advice of her mentor, songwriter and super producer Max Martin, moved to LA to focus on songwriting. Now she’s back with ‘Welcome to The Show’ with lead vocals handled by Adam Lambert, and Laleh herself featuring on the track. ‘Welcome to the Show’ has been very well received in Finland, where it enters the Trenda: Nordic Charts in position two!

Iceland is jumping on the Miike Snow bandwagon this week too, as the single ‘Genghis Khan’ from the Swedish pop group enters the Icelandic Trenda: Nordic Chart in 8th position, before showing up on the charts in any of the other Nordic countries. The trio – consisting of Swedish producer duo Bloodshy & Avant and American singer Andrew Wyatt – just released their third album titled iii, and we have no doubts that the record’s singles will be climbing the Trenda: Nordic Charts in the other Nordic countries in the very near future!
