Every week we add new fresh tracks to the Trenda: New Nordic Pop playlist on Spotify for your listening pleasure, and this week is a gold mine for fans of Nordic EDM!

Galantis, the Swedish duo consisting of Christian Karlsson (one half of production team Bloodshy & Avant and member of Miike Snow) and Linus Eklöw (a.k.a. Style of Eye) have quite the production pedigree and one which last year saw them score two of the biggest hits of the year: the dance floor slaying, Grammy-nominated ‘Runaway (U & I)’ and the disco flavoured ‘Peanut Butter Jelly’.

‘No Money’ is their first new single of 2016 and carries on the strong tropical house vibe that kicks off the playlist with it this week! Over one million streams already and this is looking like another hit!

We’ve run into American singer/songwriter Bekuh Boom in Trenda: New Nordic Pop before after her song ‘Money’ was picked up by Norwegian producers Broiler and used as their first single of 2016. This time Bekuh Boom collaborates with Danish pop sensation Christopher, adding her R’n’B inflected vocals to this funky modern disco jam titled ‘I Won’t Let You Down’. Christopher’s previous two singles have both been streamed over five million times each, and with over 100,000 streams on this track already, this one looks well on the way to big things too!

Swedish DJ and producer Alesso teams up with Norwegian pop duo Nico & Vinz for ‘I Wanna Know’, a sun-drenched house track mixing Alesso’s EDM production with spiced up guitar licks. The track has already been streamed over one million times on Spotify, so we seem to have a hit in the making. Nico & Vinz talked a lot about their latest release, the Cornerstone EP, and their favourite Nordic songs when they curated a Nordic Playlist at the end of last year, so check it out in order to find even more exciting music!
