Launching his spine-tingling track ‘Spiders’ in the closing days of 2015, Kai Gundelach has kicked off 2016 as a staple part of our playlists…
He’s been well known around his native Oslo for a while, having been a familiar face on the city’s DJ circuit – but the time has now arrived for Gundelach to emerge as a solo artist, producing his own music fronted by his own vision and voice – so we decided to find out more.
Gundelach’s elegant, synth-drenched pop stylings are completely irresistible, and he’s set to take his show on the road in the coming weeks, heading to Ja Ja Ja at The Lexington in London on the 31st March, Molotow in Hamburg on the 13th April and Musik & Frieden in Berlin on the 14th April.
Ahead of that though, we caught up with the hypnotic artist as he performed at by:Larm Festival in Oslo, to find out more about his music-making methods and the song that’s been firmly on repeat on our speakers and in our heads ever since it was released, ‘Spiders’.
