The latest additions to the Trenda: New Nordic Pop playlist reveal a Scandinavian EDM super trio of tracks that have already proven to be huge hits!
Norway and Sweden are offering up some of the brightest shining stars in the EDM sky at the moment, and some of their most prominent artists have just released new tracks – and already seen them shoot through the roof in terms of popularity!
Tungevaag & Raaban, the Swedish-Norwegian duo who rose to prominence in the Nordic charts with the single ‘Russian Roulette’, are back with a new song called ‘Wolf’, which has been streamed more than half a million times in a matter of days. The track is a little less intense and more melodic than their previous work, with a few more concessions to current pop trends, and is on track to become their biggest single to date!
Norwegian producer Seeb‘s name cropped up last week when he revealed his sensational remix of Tove Lo, but this week sees him drop a new single proper called ‘Breathe’. With his euphoric summer house sound (including a mega hit remix of Mike Posner‘s ‘I Took a Pill in Ibiza’), Seeb is quickly emerging as a real name to watch and this new track has got off to a great start, having clocked up an impressive 500,000 streams since its release.
A new single from Sweden’s Avicii is always a major event on the Nordic pop charts, and this week’s release ‘Taste the Feeling’ (vs. Conrad Sewell) is no exception. ‘Taste the Feeling’ is a collaboration with Australian singer Conrad Sewell (who famously lent his voice to Kygo’s smash hit ‘Firestone’ last year), and this may be the purest pop song to have been released by Avicii so far!
