The cosy Nordic Playlist caravan took up residency at Sweden’s ‘Where’s The Music?’ Festival in Norrköping recently, where we were joined by the fantastic Tussilago for a snow-tinged interview!
Tussilago are a 5 piece outfit from Stockholm who we’ve gotten to know very well here at the Nordic Playlist, as curators such as Kakkmaddafakka, Amason and Lykke Li have highlighted the band’s tracks as favourites to be included in their hand-picked playlists!
Having released their self titled first EP back in 2013, the band returned to reveal their much anticipated debut album towards the end of last year. Completing an end of year tour with their label founders and favourite band Dungen, the band recently returned to unveil another track from their arsenal in the form of the mesmerising ‘Colors’ – a song which stood out as a particular highlight of their light-laden set at Where’s The Music? Festival in Sweden, where the outfit performed to a packed and delighted audience.
As the snow began to fall ahead of their show, the band’s Pierre Riddez and Andreas Sjöqvist joined the Nordic Playlist to talk about their foundations and beginnings with their record label INGRID (an artist collective founded by Lykke lI and Pontus Winnberg, among others) as well as to introduce two new members of the Tussilago family and to share some of their favourite Swedish recommendations…
