What’s that we hear soundtracking the new NYC based HBO series Vinyl? Is it pure and powerful rock’n’roll from Iceland? Yes, indeed it is!

Icelanders Kaleo have been hand-picked to appear on the soundtrack of the soon-to-be-cult TV show Vinyl, the latest offering from American TV company HBO who, in the past, have brought us such addictive series as Game of Thrones, Girls and True Detective.

Vinyl is set to be the latest release from the US hit-makers, and to add even more excitement to the mix, has been co-created by director Martin Scorsese and Rolling Stones superstar Mick Jagger. And propping up the soundtrack? Iceland’s very own Kaleo, whose song ‘No Good’ is now accompanied by a video featuring them rocking out at United Record Pressing, America’s biggest vinyl-pressing plant.

In an interview with Rolling Stone magazine, Kaleo frontman JJ Julius Son states of the video:

“We were so thrilled to be included on the Vinyl soundtrack, and making this video for ‘No Good’ was a blast. We shot it at United Record Press in Nashville. When we heard about Vinyl, we loved the vibe and jumped at the chance to contribute to it. As a huge fan of both Mick Jagger and Martin Scorsese, it’s an honor for me personally to be a part of project that they’ve created.”
