Did you hear? Kanye West has dropped a new album – with Norway’s very own Cashmere Cat on production duties!
US megastar Kanye West has returned this week with brand new music, and jumping on the ‘surprise release’ bandwagon, dropped his latest album The Life of Pablo earlier than expected, making it available uniquely through TIDAL.
The new album is packed full of collaborations with rappers and musical peers such as Kendrick Lamar, but there’s one track on the album that’s getting us particularly excited, and that’s a slow and intense number entitled ‘Wolves’ – performed by Kanye West, Frank Ocean and Caroline Shaw with none other than Cashmere Cat on production duties.
‘Wolves’ first appeared back in 2015 as part of the soundtrack to the launch of West’s Adidas trainer design, and at that time featured international chart topper Sia and Vic Mensa on vocals. The song now appears in a revamped form, with Cashmere Cat and co-producer Sinjin Hawke making sure that the song stands out as a powerful highlight on the record, with Frank Ocean and Caroline Shaw adding their voices to this latest version.
Cashmere Cat has had a hand in some huge US hits of recent years, lending his distinctive sound and skills to songs from Ariane Grande, Miguel and Wiz Khalifa, and he’s also reportedly been working with Britney Spears on a track entitled ‘Just Luv Me’, set to appear on her upcoming ninth album.
For now though, we’re ready to tune in to some fresh new sounds from Cashy Cat by checking out his work on this very special track. Kanye West’s The Life of Pablo is streaming exclusively on TIDAL, so tune in to ‘Wolves’ by clicking just here…
