Extending their upcoming tour to include Ireland, Iceland’s Sigur Rós announce further 2016 tour dates!

By far and away one of the most selected artists in the Nordic Playlist archives are Icelandic outfit Sigur Rós, whose musical output has made them one of the most revered bands in the history of not only Iceland’s most influential music, but the world’s!

Previous Nordic Playlist curators such as WhoMadeWho, Lykke LiMew and Noah Kin have all remarked upon the band being of significant influence, and that’s just one of the reasons why we’re so thrilled to share the news that Sigur Rós have added more dates to their 2016 tour!

The band had already revealed a handful of upcoming festival dates including Barcelona’s Primavera Sound, Denmark’s Northside Festival and Norway’s Bergenfest in June, and have just added a new date which will see them head to Ireland on the 26th June.

Keep an eye on the Nordic Playlist as we bring you all of Sigur Rós’s news as it arrives, and check out where you can catch the band live just below…
