This week is a great one for all of you fans of Nordic pop, as the Trenda: New Nordic Pop playlist – where we gather the latest and best Nordic releases – is full of enticing releases and new, exciting music!

First up is Lukas Graham with the track ‘Take the World by Storm’, taken from the newly released album The Blue Album. “Taken the world by storm” is exactly what this Dane has done this autumn, most notably with the hit single ‘7 Years’, a chart-climber in several Nordic countries. ‘Take the World by Storm’ is exactly the kind of song that makes us sure that this rising star has still got a lot more up his sleeve…

One of the biggest pieces of news this week is the release of Swedish/American songstress Mapei‘s much anticipated debut album with the humble title Hey Hey. A lot of the featured songs have been released throughout the past year, but now we can finally enjoy them all in one place. We chose ‘Come on Baby’ for the Trenda New Nordic Pop playlist, a track boasting the same energetic style as ‘Million Ways to Live’, which we featured just a couple of weeks ago and ‘Orphan’, for which the video was released just a few weeks back…

On June is the moniker of a very bright, young producer from Finland. Dutch deep house/balearic hit maker Sam Feldt has lent his touch to the debut single entitled ‘The Devil’s Tears’ and although the track has been out for a little while, it was only recently released on Spotify, where it has gathered over 100,000 plays in just a few days. The song is featured on this week’s Trenda New Nordic Pop playlist, so listen in as we eagerly await more!
