We’ve added another set of fresh Nordic tracks to the New Nordic Pop playlist on Trenda!
As usual, the Trenda New Nordic Pop playlist has been updated with a bunch of great music, and a trend that might be accredited to the cold October mornings is the soul and melancholy that seems to seep into Nordic pop music at this time of year. It appears in many forms, and is clearly visible in this week’s list as well – take a look and have a listen now, and find a few highlights below!
Erik Hassle, who is currently touring the US together with Tove Lo, has released ‘Temptation’, a vocoder-drenched RnB slowjam, together with UK duo Bondax. Slow, chewy and beautiful!
Swedish drum ‘n’ bass producer/songwriter Mavrick unveiled his debut single ‘Remedy’ last week. The song has a soulful Rudimental-esque feel to it, and is rounded off with a cheering, hand-clapping gospel choir.
One of the most striking tunes this week comes from 19-year old Biniyam from Finland, who delivers ‘Hero’ – an epic beat topped with the rapper’s heavy yet playful lyrics – a sure fire hit from an artist to keep an eye on…
And definitely worth highlighting is Mapei‘s track ‘Million Ways to Live’, a high tempo attitude stomp that reminds you of the fact that the Autumn is not just about cold mornings and short days, but is also the best clubbing season.
