“We wanted that Nordic crystal clear emotion to run through the music. It had to be elegant and never too macho.”
Intrigued? You should be, as this is just one of the ideas that sparked the creation of brand new collaborative ‘super group’, Closure.
The coming together of some incredibly gifted musical minds, Closure is the combined effort of Martin Sköld (Kent), Johan Wohlert (Mew) and Ninsun Poli. There’s some amazing talent driving this project, which inventively fuses the indie/rock driven backgrounds of Sköld and Wohlert, as Swedish R’n’B artist Ninsun Poli injects feist and deep feeling into the tracks.
Closure’s brand new EP – released on the 29th May 2015 – features the four songs to have already come from this collaboration, entitled ‘Creatures’, ‘Sing’, ‘Snowflakes in Spring’ and ‘1000 times’ – all of which you can hear ahead of the EP’s release exclusively here at Ja Ja Ja!
If you fall in love instantly, then you’re in luck as you’ll be able to catch the band when they make their debut live appearance in the not-too-distant future, so keep an eye on Ja Ja Ja as we bring you more details about that soon.
For now though, settle in and open up to Closure’s EP because, as the band themselves state: “It’s just good pop music, plain and simple”.
