Finnish outfit Satellite Stories are starting the new year as they mean to go on, by revealing a hauntingly catchy new track lifted from their forthcoming new album.
We were big fans of this indie-tinged foursome’s previous record Pine Trails – in fact, we loved it so much that we invited the band to play at Ja Ja Ja in London back in September 2013, and have been reminiscing about their fantastic performance there ever since.
The Oulu natives have now returned with a brand new track, and a second taster of their upcoming album following on from their recent release, ‘The Trap‘. ‘Heartbeat’ is a song that’s brimming with all of the joyful energy and the light, lilting atmosphere that we’ve come to love from this band, and is a promise that the new album will retain the carefully structured harmonies and wandering melodies that this band are so good at creating.
‘Heartbeat’ is the second single from Satellite Stories’ third album Vagabonds which is due to be released on the 6th March, after which you can catch them on an extensive tour that’s set to take in the UK, Germany and a stop off in each of the Nordic countries!
