November is here; it’s getting colder and darker but fear not, there are some great shows enticing us indoors over the coming week!
The sensational Erlend Øye kicks of the first week of November at O2 Shepherd’s Bush. Following with the Finnish/French duo The Dø, Swedish/Icelandic Freyr Flodgren and last but not least, Sweden’s comeback Tove Styrke!
Mon 3rd November – Erlend Øye, O2 Shepherds Bush Empire, London – Tickets
Norway’s very own Erlend Øye is now taking his band and latest album Legao out on tour – and this week it’s the turn of the London crowds to enjoy this talented musician! Tracks from the acclaimed new album Legao, songs in Italian and tracks from his debut solo album Unrest have all been promised by Erlend! The beautiful O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire is a perfect place for Erlend to fill with his excellent songs and take us back to the summer for one last night – definitely not to be missed!
Mon 3rd November – The Dø, Village Underground, London – Tickets
Finnish-French duo The Dø are set to perform at Village Underground in London on Monday. With a third album that has taken this duo to a completely different direction– a futuristic turn towards syncopated electro beats! The acoustic tunes have transformed into more synthetic dance tunes – so come down and dance in the week with The Dø!
Tues 4th November – Freyr Flodgren, The Finsbury, London – Free entry
Freyr Flodgren really seems to have charmed the London crowd with his songs from the north of Sweden lately! This Tuesday the Swedish/Icelandic artists is back in London and can be found at The Finsbury with his guitar for a cosy singer songwriter show – a perfect way to escape from the cold autumn outside!
Wed 5th & Thur 6th November – Tove Styrke, Notting Hill Art Club/The Old Blue Last – Tickets
Tove Styrke was first brought to our attention back in 2009, when she took part in the popular Swedish Idol. The following year, she released her debut album and created a name for herself before signing with Sony Music UK and Epic Records in 2013. Earlier this spring, she released her comeback single ‘Even If I’m Loud Doesn’t Mean I’m Talking To You’. With her great new follow up ‘Borderline’ from her upcoming EP with the same title, Tove will make her debut appearances in London this Wednesday and Thursday at Notting Hill Arts Club and The Old Blue Last!
