For their upcoming debut album Lucid Dreaming, set to be released in February 2015, Swedish/Australian pop duo Say Lou Lou teamed up with Norway’s space (disco) captain Lindstrøm. The result is a confident, synth-infused track called ‘Games for Girls’, more fitting for a club dance floor than for the night bus headphones. Lindstrøm threw out the string layers and reverb-soaked marching drums, and brought in his characteristic arsenal of nu-disco keyboards – and Say Lou Lou sound as comfortable and natural with the arrangements as ever.
‘Games for Girls’ is compact at just three minutes and twenty seconds, and it definitely raises expectations for the debut album quite a lot. During the six remaining months before the album’s release, you can certainly expect more tasty samples from Say Lou Lou, and ‘Games for Girls’ is a very promising start!
