Iceland’s Grísalappalísa have a knack for creating the sort of music that makes the mind boggle while you process what it was you just listened to, but in the end the conclusion you will come to is surely a positive one. Following on from last year’s LP Alí, the collective (which features members of Jakóbínarína, Oyama and the Heavy Experience) return with more of their arresting post-punk, in the form of ‘ABC’, which is the first offering from forthcoming record Rökrétt Framhald due June 17th.
One of the best things about Grísalappalísa is their knack for combining largely ‘serious’ music with a bit of tongue in cheek humour and a few risqué elements here and there, all of which are strongly in evidence on this new video for ‘ABC’.
