With a number of festival appearances under their belts both in their native Norway and beyond, not least our own inaugural Ja Ja Ja Festival last year, Kid Astray have garnered a steadily growing fan-base, and it seems like they’ve barely taken a moment to pause since debut track ‘The Mess’ appeared online late 2012. This week they return with their brand new track ‘No Easy Way Out’ released on March 31st, via Cosmos.
Mastering their brand of tightly woven indie pop, on ‘No Easy Way Out’ you’ll find the threads of big guitars, bigger synths and howling gang vocals which will no doubt be howled right back at them when the summer festivals come around again. ‘Catchy’ is the word that is normally thrown at the band, and with good reason – the chorus is so infectious it makes ‘No Easy Way Out’ less of a pop record, more a force to be reckoned with.
