The Swedish indie rock group Loosegoats were originally active between 1994 and 2001, after which singer Christian Kjellvander embarked on a successful solo career and released some of the finest singer-songwriter folk of this century. Loosegoats has become something of a cult band since the break-up and in 2009 they reformed shortly for a few live gigs, but this time they’re back for real with a new album scheduled for April 18.

The record will be called Ideas For To Travel Down Death’s Merry Road and we’ve got a first taste from the record available for you below; the lead single ‘Montananas’, which premiered on Swedish radio last week. ‘Montananas’ sounds just like what you’d expect from the Loosegoats; Americana-tinged indie rock of the highest quality.
