A wide selection of industry folk in each of the five Nordic countries have cast their votes and chosen 10 candidates from each country that are in the running to be one of the 12 nominees for Nordic Music Prize 2011.
Only twelve of the following 50 candidates will go through to the final shortlist. The longlist looks as follows:
